Here's a composition/paper-mache Nativity made in U.S. Zone Germany.
This Nativity set was created right after WWII between 1945-1949 in the American controlled portion of Germany. The U.S. Zone encompassed Bavaria and Hesse.
These Nativity sets were sold in S.S. Kresge chain stores all over the United States.
S.S. Kresge was a chain store company and the parent company of K-mart stores today.
These colorful Nativity figures are about 6 inches high and are marked, "Made in US Zone Germany."
Most still have their "S.S. Kresege stickers.
Eye-catching, printed Cardboard stable measures approximately 11 1/2 inches at its widest and 8 1/2 high.
